  • Age Groups - Generally I work with adults, but on occasion see late adolescents. Common referral issues are anxiety and depression. I also treat couples with relationship difficulties. Weekly group therapy involving individuals and couples and occasional residential workshops are all part of my practice.
  • Back Ground – Prior to clinical training I was an industrial psychologist. This earlier work experience has resulted in clinical-industrial consulting. This has included stress management, executive and professional stress and mid-life crisis.
  • Special Interests – A special interest has been in the integration of hypnosis and relaxation training into psychological treatment. As a consequence treatment and management of anxiety disorders, ego strengthening with self confidence and self esteem issues, smoking and addictive behaviours as well as sports performance enhancement are common referrals.
  • Treatment Approach My treatment approach is eclectic and tailored to the individual, although I draw on training in humanistic/psychodynamic behaviour, couples and family therapy and hypnosis. My background includes a founding faculty and board member of the Gestalt Institute, founding psychologist of the Mildred Creek Autistic Centre, training group therapist at the Wyandot County Mental Health Centre in Kansas USA and senior industrial psychologist of the WA Employers Federation Inc.
